How to Enable or Disable Private Browsing on iOS 15

To enable or disable Private Browsing on iOS 15:

  1. Open the Safari app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on the tabs icon in the bottom right corner of the screen (it looks like two squares stacked on top of each other).
  3. Tap on the Private icon in the bottom left corner of the screen (it looks like a mask).
  4. A notification will appear asking if you want to enable Private Browsing. Tap “Enable Private Browsing” to turn it on, or “Cancel” to keep it disabled.

To disable Private Browsing, follow the same steps and tap “Disable Private Browsing” when the notification appears.

Note: When Private Browsing is enabled, your browsing history, search history, and autofill information will not be saved. Websites you visit will not be added to your Reading List or shared via iCloud.
