How to Use Phone as a Webcam in OBS Studio

To use your phone as a webcam in OBS Studio, you’ll need to use a third-party app to stream the video from your phone to your computer. There are several apps available that can do this, but one popular option is the “EpocCam” app. Here’s how to set it up:

  1. Download the EpocCam app on your phone and the corresponding driver on your computer.
  2. Connect your phone and computer to the same WiFi network.
  3. Open OBS Studio on your computer and go to “Settings” in the bottom right corner.
  4. In the “Settings” menu, go to the “Video” tab and click the “Device” dropdown menu. You should see “EpocCam” as an option.
  5. Select “EpocCam” as the video capture device and click “OK”.
  6. Go back to the main OBS Studio window and add a new “Video Capture Device” source by clicking the “+” icon in the “Sources” panel.
  7. Select “EpocCam” as the source and click “OK”.

Your phone’s camera should now be displayed in the OBS Studio preview window. If you want to switch between the front and back camera on your phone, you can do so by tapping the camera icon in the EpocCam app on your phone.
