Ways to Export Kindle Highlights: There are a few different ways to export Kindle highlights:
Export directly from your Kindle device:
- Connect your Kindle to your computer using a USB cable
- Your Kindle will appear as a drive on your computer
- Navigate to the “documents” folder on your Kindle
- Inside the “documents” folder, you will find a file called “My Clippings.txt”
- This file contains all of your Kindle highlights and notes
- You can open this file in any text editor and save it to your computer
Use the Kindle app on your phone or tablet:
- Open the Kindle app on your device
- Tap the “menu” icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner
- Tap “Notes”
- Tap the three dots in the top-right corner
- Tap “Export Notes”
- Choose a location to save the file
Use an online tool:
- There are several online tools that allow you to export your Kindle highlights, such as kindle.amazon.com, klip.me, and myclippings.io
- These tools typically require you to upload your “My Clippings.txt” file, and then they will convert the file into a more readable format, such as a PDF or a spreadsheet
- Some of these tools also allow you to sort and filter your highlights, or even create a summary of your reading
