Ways to Fix App Icons Disappeared From iPhone
There are a few steps you can try if app icons are disappearing from your iPhone:
Restart your iPhone
A simple restart can often fix minor software issues that may be causing problems with app icons.
Check for updates
Make sure you have the latest version of iOS installed on your iPhone. To check for updates, go to the “Settings” app, tap “General,” and then tap “Software Update.”
Check for Restrictions
If you have enabled Restrictions on your iPhone, certain apps may be hidden. To check your Restrictions settings, go to the “Settings” app, tap “Screen Time,” and then tap “Content & Privacy Restrictions.”
Check your home screen layout
If you have customized your home screen layout, the app icons may have been moved to a different page or folder. Swipe left or right on your home screen to see if the app icons are on a different page.
Check for off-screen app icons
If the app icons are not on any of your home screen pages, they may be hidden off-screen. To access hidden app icons, gently swipe left or right on your home screen until you see the app icons.
Reset your home screen layout
If you have customized your home screen layout and can’t find the missing app icons, you can reset your home screen to the default layout. To do this, go to the “Settings” app, tap “General,” and then tap “Reset.” Choose “Reset Home Screen Layout” and follow the prompts to reset your home screen.
Check for uninstalled apps
If you have recently uninstalled an app, the app icon may still be on your home screen. To check for uninstalled apps, go to the “App Store” app, tap “Today,” and then tap “Your Account” in the top right corner. Tap “Purchased,” and then tap “Not on This iPhone” to see a list of apps that you have purchased but are not currently installed on your iPhone.
