Ways to Manually Add Password to Chrome
To manually add a password to Chrome, follow these steps:
- Open Chrome and go to the website for which you want to save the password.
- Log in to the website using your username and password.
- Click on the three dots in the top right corner of the Chrome window and select “Settings.”
- In the left menu, click “Passwords.”
- Under “Saved Passwords,” click the three dots next to the website for which you want to save the password.
- Select “Save password.”
- In the pop-up window, enter your password and click “Save.”
If you want to add a password for a website that you are not currently logged into, follow these steps:
- Click on the three dots in the top right corner of the Chrome window and select “Settings.”
- In the left menu, click “Passwords.”
- Under “Saved Passwords,” click the three dots next to the website for which you want to save the password.
- Select “Add a new password.”
- In the pop-up window, enter the website’s URL, your username, and your password. Click “Save.”
Note: You will need to enter your Google account password to save a password in Chrome.
