Ways to Resize an Image in GIMP: There are a few different ways to resize an image in GIMP:

Using the “Scale Image” tool:

  • Open the image in GIMP
  • Go to “Image > Scale Image” or press “Shift + Ctrl + I”
  • In the “Scale Image” window, enter the new width and height for the image
  • You can also choose to constrain the aspect ratio or resize the image based on a specific resolution
  • Click “Scale” to resize the image

Using the “Crop” tool:

  • Open the image in GIMP
  • Select the “Crop” tool from the toolbar
  • Drag the crop tool to draw a rectangle around the portion of the image you want to keep
  • Click and drag the corners of the rectangle to resize it
  • Press “Enter” to crop the image

Using the “Transform” tool:

  • Open the image in GIMP
  • Select the “Transform” tool from the toolbar
  • Click and drag the handles on the corners of the image to resize it
  • Press “Enter” to apply the transformation

Note: When resizing an image, it’s important to consider the aspect ratio of the image. If you change the aspect ratio, you may distort the image. You can preserve the aspect ratio by holding down the “Shift” key while resizing the image.
