What to do with Facebook Messenger No Sound

If you are having trouble with sound not working in Facebook Messenger, there are a few things you can try to fix the problem:

Check the volume

Make sure the volume on your device is turned up and that the volume control buttons on the side of the device are not set to the lowest setting.

Restart your device

Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve issues with your device’s sound. To restart your device, press and hold the power button until the “slide to power off” slider appears. Then, slide the slider to the right to power off your device. After a few seconds, press and hold the power button again to turn your device back on.

Check for updates

If you’re using an older version of the operating system on your device, there may be a bug that is causing the sound to not work properly in Facebook Messenger. Check for updates and install any that are available to see if that resolves the issue.

Check your settings

Make sure that your device is not set to silent mode or that the “Do Not Disturb” feature is not enabled. You can check these settings by looking at the control center or by going to the “Sounds & Haptics” section of the Settings app.

Check your headphones

If you’re using headphones to listen to audio in Facebook Messenger, make sure that they are properly plugged in and that the volume is turned up.

Contact Facebook Support
