Why Does My Phone Screen Won’t Turn Off?
There are several possible reasons why your phone’s screen may not be turning off as expected:
- The screen timeout setting is set to a longer duration: Check your phone’s settings to make sure that the screen timeout duration is set to a reasonable amount of time. If it is set to a longer duration, the screen may not turn off as quickly as you expect.
- There is an app that is keeping the screen awake: Some apps may prevent the screen from turning off in order to continue running in the background. To determine if this is the case, try closing all of your apps and see if the screen turns off as expected.
- There is a problem with the hardware: If you have tried all of the above steps and the screen is still not turning off, there may be a hardware issue with your phone. This could be caused by a malfunctioning display, a faulty power button, or another issue. In this case, you may need to contact your phone’s manufacturer or a repair technician for further assistance.
- The phone is set to “Stay awake” mode: If your phone is set to “Stay awake” mode, the screen will remain on indefinitely until this mode is turned off. You can find this setting in the Developer options section of your phone’s settings.
